Theology of the Table
NEW SUNDAY 4/1/12:
Here is my feedback3.
I would appreciate if somebody succeeded to integrate grapes and leaves within the Lys flower. It has been an early essential interest of mine. Look at the attachment « Lys within Lys » , « Tee Flowery » and « Lys Dan fish… » (quite good for the grapes, not for the wheat) and
We have to imagine that sometimes, on other objects, I may use only the Lys Flower and lamb. Then, without all the folliage, the design may loose a lot of its charm. So to have at least grapes within the flower would be wonderful. As for recognizable grapes, what about google searching « raisin » ?
To everybody : I do not need the words Theology of the Table to be integrated.
In Marcsi I like :
The great organic over all feeling
Wheat has become softer
Repetition of lys flower in background
The lamb is great there.
In Mogi’s I like :
That the olive fruit and leaves are recognizable (at least to me).
The sun in the back of the flower is an interesting idea.
It is off center and more organic now.
In Rakkha I like :
The grapes (only in the lower background) look more like grapes to me. The leaves do not yet, though.
The sun rays are interesting.
NEW!: After our first entry, I thought of entering the 2 important new informations:
- The Lys flower would have to be the most important element.
- The lamb would be second. I can imagine it a bit in the recess of the flower and slghtly higher with some of it coverd by the flower.
- New element that can play as a decoration : olive tree branches and their olives.
Each elements is full of meaning and important. This is heraldic art design of our time. :-)
FOUNDATION: This project proposes to bring back authentic cooking, vegetable gardening and eating together.
It also explores the signifcance of food and meal in the Christian spirituality. Le Last Supper and the Wedding at Cana are the festive and dramatic head and tails of the message.
I work on a book, started a beginner's cooking and faithfilled TV show as well as a blog ( theologyofthetable.com )
My goal is to participate in bringing back the family meal as well as a spiritual vision of food and eating.
Food & Drink
I would like a large design (not a logo) that would apply to a tee shirt, a shirt or an apron.
The visuals I bring are very high symbols in several civilizations and will each carry and deep significance.
A specific Lys flower (fleur de lys). Would love to keep the shape of the flower I am recommending with slight changes accepted) Actually, some changes may be needed just to not be stealing from the original designer of the symbol I recommend.
The flowers I prefer are attached below as, "Example 1, Example 2 and Example 3" at the very bottom of the attached files.
A symbolic lamb (would love to keep the shape of the lamb with sun I am recommending with slight changes accepted)
Wheat plant (would be more opened to your recommendations but of course with the lys flower and lamb a specific style will have been given)
Grape and grape leaf (would be more opened to your recommendations but of course with the lys flower and lamb a specific style will have been given)
I provided several tee shirts and symbols to try to circonvene the style I would like. I did this with "Likes" and "Unlikes".
Like in "Tee flowery" I am preferring a design off center.
Like in "Tee flowery" I appreciate a texture design spread over much of the tee shirt. Yet, the tee shirt printing process may have a problem with that. So the possibility to take out the wider part at will and keep a one third of the design with the essential elements (flower, lamb, wheat, grape) would be appreciated.
Like in "Tee orange" I enjoy the curves and happy general feeling.
Like in "Tee white preferred" I like the repetition of the flower in a mini-form. But this is not an absolute requirement.
Unlike in "Tee white preferred" I would like the symbols to stay up (not to be reversed).
Unlike in "Tee grey man" I want to stay in the positive, glorious, generous, royal, not the dark, somber, Goth.
Like in "Tee grey man" I like some gothic, "tradition", medieval art.
Like in "Tee grey man" I like some masculinity in the design (I will have to wear that tee shirt or apron).
Like in "Tee leaves", I like the "volutes".
Like in "Lys within Lys", I like the idea of the flower being filled with some other symbol.
Like in "Poissons" can be an element of texture somewhere.
Like in "Lys Dan fish" (an old attempt) I like the grape leaves filling the Lys Flower leaf. Yet the wheat representation does not its job of filling well.
