Robert McLellan got their new 3d by running a design contest:
Product Design - Charging Box
Check out Robert McLellan's 3D contest…
We are looking to limit "screen time" of kids by designing a box that can contain their tablets and phones while they are on charge but they cannot be used. For childrens health it is important that they only use these devices for a limited amount of time per day. To encourage them to socialise more and be more active outside.
What's your vision?
We are looking to design a box that is 37cm x 27cm x 17cm. The box is to have the following: - "TakeCharge" printed or embossed on top - Lock at the front - 10 port USB mounted inside - Some air vents at the back - A hole in the back for the power lead - Lid would have 2 hinges - This will be made from MDF and coated in PU Leather Picture of both opened and closed would be great! This design will be sent to a manufacturer to base the build off. We would like a few different color options and the writing "TakeCharge" which is the name of the product across the top. Feel free to be creative with incorporating this. We will certainly want an "Apple white" version and most likely some other simple pastel versions too. But would love to see what you can come up with! Any more questions simply ask and we will happily answer them.
This is the product itself, not the packaging.

Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Robert McLellan collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
