What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
An award winning book cover that visually captures the essence of it's content. The title of the book is Giving Myself Permission: Putting Fear and Doubt in Their Place. It currently has a cover that I'm not pleased with. It has been very hard for designer to capture the essence of the book without using the standard person in a meadow or atop a mountain with arms up expressing freedom. This is extremely overused, however, the current bookcover is extremely plain, expressing no character (was created by Amazons creative staff). Other creators have failed miserably at it as well.
My brand colors are deep/rich orange, purple and a dash of royal blue and deep red. The designers have full creative reign, however, I DO NOT want the usual concept of someone with their arms up in the air that is normally used to indicate freedom, release, or winning. I want the book cover to pull potential reader in with a feeling of being free from the weight of fear and self-doubt. I want them to get a sense of being able to truly breath for the first time without the burden of shame, guilt or regret. The book title itself speaks into the spirit of the reader even if they don't open the book - I want the cover to enhance that message visually. The tagline for the book is: It's Not Just a Book Title, It's a Lifestyle!"
The designer must create the back, front and spine of the book. I have attached the current book cover. This is the link to the video for the book it might be helpful to get a better idea about the content of the book http://youtu.be/mdP_FbIh9AY
