Business & Consulting
Crowned "The Czar of Networking" by CBS Radio, Tim Houston is one of the world's leading authorities on business networking, word-of-mouth marketing and business development. His first book, The World's Worst Networker: Lessons Learned By The Best From The Absolute Worst! reached #1 in 7 categories in 6 countries on Amazon. He is also a contributing author to the New York Times Bestseller and multiple #1 bestseller, Masters of Sales (Entrepreneur Press, 2007).
What's your vision?
As one of the world's leading authorities on business networking and business development, I have a short book that is due for publication (both paperback and electronic) on June 25, 2013. Title: Leads To Referrals Subtitle: Getting Rewarding Referrals From Your Contacts That Count! I'm looking for an experienced graphic artist who can design the front & back covers, title spine, and also the ebook cover formatted for Kindle, Nook, Ibooks, etc. We also need a 3D rendering for marketing purposes. I would prefer one who has worked in the publishing industry before or one who has worked with authors who have self-published using services like Createspace.com. (I can provide you with the Createspace template, if necessary to ensure that everything is laid out properly). My "author photo" will need to be on the back of the cover as well as a ISBN bar-code which will need to be designed and placed in a particular spot on the back cover. (Photo will be uploaded in original size and as 300 dpi, 336x420) The book will be 5" x 8" (12.7 x 20.32 cm). The number of pages will probably be between 130-150 pages of text after the final editing. Front cover needs to prominently display my name as Timothy M. Houston.. For the back cover, please just use a Lore Ipsum text and the author photo.. The back cover text will be uploaded in a few days as we are doing a final edit. I'm looking for something eye-catching that will make people stop and say "wow!" or "that's interesting" (For an example of the cover for my previous book, please go to www.worldsworstnetworker.com and I can provide you with some other examples of published books whose graphic designs I like). Very "serious" and "typical business book" designs may not be considered. I'm not also looking for ""cheap" and "cheesy" designs found as the cover for many ebooks. (If you're not sure what I mean by this, message me and I'll provide some examples). The "winner" will get credit for cover design inside of the books including your contact information. Think you have what it takes? Please submit your most competitive, creative design.
Feel free to be creative and "fun" and don't hesitate to ask any questions. Because several have asked, here are some cover examples I that like of similar books or what I consider to be non-boring business books.
