coalission got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Create a book cover for a 30-day health program about Tinnitus (hearing condition)
Check out coalission's Book cover contest…
Noise Away is a program to help with tinnitus, an hearing condition that makes people hear ringing in their ears.
What's your vision?
We need a cover with good color and typography usage, a font/fonts that are strong/bold, and the cover can have some element of "sound" incorporated either in the background or into the font of the text itself. I've attached some samples of book covers I like. I have also attached the current logo. The therapy is called brain retraining, and it basically consists of listening to customized sounds based on the frequency the persons tinnitus is in. The cover should represent the freedom of that sound, so using sound/music or hearing elements is fine, but it should give the impression that the sound will be gone after the program, hence the name Noise Away. If anything, the cover should scream "Peace and Quiet", "Relief", etc. not necessarily "Sound" or "Music". I'd prefer sans-serif fonts over serif for the cover.
I've attached the logo which can be implemented, and the title of the book will be something like "Tinnitus Sound Therapy Program", but we can change that later. I'll need a front and back, print-ready, fully editable .psd, .ai or .indd to change any text necessary in the future. If there's a place where text is needed, or an image of the author, you can include filler text and generic stock photo.
