Entertainment & The Arts
Indie author of paranormal fiction. Target audience is largely woman between the ages of 18-45, fans of genre fiction such as Supernatural.
What's your vision?
I'm getting ready to launch my Supernatural series (book 1 of 3) and looking for a branded book design that I can take across 3 books, so that the elements will be strongly recognized, and can sell a series. So when creating your art, please keep that in mind, and if you win Book 1 I will commission you for Book 2, Book 3, any advertising media I may need (Facebook ads, bookmarks, postcards, etc). I want it big, bold, something you can't ignore when you see it. Think of this series as the TV show Supernatural with sisters, instead of brothers. so the bond between the sisters is the most important relationship throughout the course of this series. Heart pounding thriller, lots of action and fighting to survive. Lots of steam, angst. Design Elements: Strong colors: Red, Black, Gold. Urban fantasy novel so need hints of magic, monsters, paranormal elements in the cover so it doesn't come across as a straight action/thriller. Main Characters: Two red headed sisters who fight demons. One a kick ass fighter. The other is a passive healer who has the power to exorcise. They are in their early twenties. Not YA. Elements that I'd like to see included, even if it's in a small way. Motorcycles, tattoos, the lines of a 1966 Chrysler 300 (or other 1960s muscle car). A red wax seal, either on the back or on the front. Setting:, crowded urban towns, bars. Big explosive scenes taking place in a cabin, train hijacking, demon clubhouse (motorcycle gang) Title: Blood Lust Underneath that: Book 1 -- The Blood Sisters Author: Jill Cooper Tagline for front cover: A kick ass fighter. A passive healer. Two sides of the same coin. Blurb: If you love the Winchester Brothers, then you’re going to love Jessica Blood. A sassy demon seeking bounty hunter things turn personal when her sister, the passive healer Amanda is kidnapped. Jessica will go to the ends of the Earth to find Amanda before they use her blood to open the gates of hell. Along the way to save her sister she’ll have to team up with bad boy demon hunter Duncan Jasper and the only thing tougher than fighting demons is fighting each other. Here are some designs to draw inspiration from. This series will be a natural competitor with these titles and will need to be able to compete visually. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014027KLK/ref=series_rw_dp_sw https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/e8/89/c1/e889c151f2c3fd190c32ab9ccad0a5c8.jpg https://alexandriadarcy.files.wordpress.com/2014/07/nine-by-night-e-book-cover2.jpg https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/e8/89/c1/e889c151f2c3fd190c32ab9ccad0a5c8.jpg
