Update: I've gotten a few messages requesting that the contest be extended. I am working on doing so.
Update #2 14/03: There have been a number of variations on a specific theme. While I feel that what I've gotten so far has been amazing, I encourage any additional designers to take some chances.
Update #3 14/03: Referencing the thought above: the Earth actually explodes in blue fire.
Title: Last Mage: The Interview
Author: Andrew Eckhart
Dimensions: approximately 2500p X 1500p
Hello, my name is Andrew Eckhart, author of the Last Mage Trilogy which tells the tale of an immortal man who has been guiding and protecting humanity since the beginning of time.
Obviously a modern Sci fi /fantasy tale.
There is currently one book available with the next scheduled for October.
The current cover is available in amazon searching for my name. The initial idea was to emphasize that this was a serious urban Sci fi story. The protagonist grapples with philosophy and responsibility and the nature of what it is to be human. I would like something that makes it clear that the world is on his shoulders and more in keeping with the genre.
The main protagonist is of North African origin, as if he had been a part of early human culture, and is just starting to go grey.
A major plot device in the novel are called towers. They look much like a pawn chess piece made in white stone.
Also, a big part of the book revolves around the destruction of the planet in blue fire/energy. If you feel inspired, have at that.
Additionally the main antagonist is a shadowy woman of similar ethnicity. She is a master tactician and has been manipulating the Mage from her exile for centuries.
A major color for the first novel is blue.
If you have any questions feel free to let me know.
I look forward to seeing your submissions.
