JOSEPH THOMAS WILLIG
This book is about a philsophy defined to me through a life of drifting across the planet. Now, don't get that confused with the "professional nomad" tourists that flood every spot designed exactly to take their money in different countries. What is the outcome of self-awareness? How can we practically apply a nihilistic outlook to become truly free? As a member of this millennial generation, how can we find value individually instead of as part of whatever group identity we latch onto?
Anyone who wants to see this life in a different perspective, to think outside themselves, to grow. To challenge everything they've believed, to deduce the reasons they have made the choices they have.
Book cover type
Don’t know yet
What I want is a cover that grabs someone when they see it and they think "there is some kind of ancient knowledge in these pages." Think of a witch's book of spells and curses, the book of the dead, something with a big latch and lock on the side. Leather bound, scroll work. Use the images I've attached as a spark!
What to avoid
No stock imagery, no reds. Stick to earth tones. I think a splash of maroon or dark purple as an accent might be nice. But forest greens, browns, and that burnt gold font. The font is important. BOLD. CLEAR. ABSOLUTE. This book has been in the works in some form for thirteen years, many lives, many countries. It is my first novel, the most important to me. My magnum opus. It can't look cheap or chincy. It must be classy.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
jwilligF collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
