The design was simple and elegant, and just what I was after.
The designer was great - professional, prompt and thorough in her replies. Generous with her knowledge and extremely patient with this novice.
I am extremely grateful and would highly recommend DeeDee.
Very clever design that met the requirements in the brief. It was a clear winner in the contest.

Absolute pleasure to work with! Really made the brief come to life with her designs!
Ikrima_ArtStudio was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING to work with. This designer was patient, accomodating, and extremely easy to work with. Hardworking is one of the many words that come to mind when describing this designer. Creative, detail oriented, and excellence are a few others. I would definitely recommend this designer. Additionally, I welcome the opportunity to work with this designer again. It was an absolute blessing to work with this designer.
Agazar went right to the heart of my design criteria with a commercial design that fit my needs. Changes were made promptly and design delivered promptly.
How amandaangels.ap started their book cover journey
No Place I'd Rather Be
Amanda Jay is from Manchester and has a Bachelors Degree and a Masters in Psychology. Recently she decided to take a career break to write the Ali Sunshine series, a story she's been creating for years.
After losing everyone close to her, Alison realises life is too short and decides to start living life to the full. With complete faith in the Universe, the Angels and her Spirit Team she follows her heart and her intuition to Tenerife, an island where she always feels happy. As her new life unfolds her social life accelerates and she gets to see the guitarist in her favourite bar more and more. Even though she cannot stop her feelings from growing, her implicit understanding of karma and her deep rooted self-esteem issues stop her from trusting him and believing he may feel the same.
Her life in Tenerife is so different compared to three years before when she lost everything and had to start again. With determination and hard work Alison rebuilt her business, her relationship with her mum was better than ever and she really believed her life was back on track. However, she was not aware that her happiness and success had ignited jealousy and resentment in her narcisstic brother until she was forced to watch everyone she loved suffer from his cruel and sadistic behaviour.
Women aged 20-90 and spiritual people who believe in Angels and the Otherside.
There is a ethereal background with photo in the foreground. I don't like the colours or the suit cases.
There is something in the background and an image in the foreground. Not keen on the actual images.
I'd like an illustrated cover as the book is mainly 'Chick Lit.'
I prefer happy images and quirky text. Not keen on these colours though.
I like the cartoon-like imagery in the background and the foreground
I like that this is a photograph and it depicts the beach.
Remember the sand in Tenerife is black though.
I like this because the colour of the background and that the image would appeal to women.
What colors do you want to see in your design?
As the book falls mainly into the genre of chick lit I would like it to appeal to women, especially as a holiday read. Illustrations and cartoons seem to appeal to these readers.
As it is also a spiritual book I'd like there to be an ethereal vibe too.
I have added images of book covers to explain.
I like actual photos of a view in the background (even if it is blurred) and I have loads I have taken in Tenerife if you need them. I'd also like something in the foreground that relates to the story.
As I will need six book covers eventually , I'd like them to follow a theme
What to avoid
I'd rather it wasn't dark or too formal.
I like the colours and the beach theme here and I think the images appeal to women.
I love the colours and the blurred background. The image is sharp in the foreground, which is good, but maybe a mojito cocktail would be more appropriate.
If the dedign is drawn I'd like something like this. like these colours, the imagery and the cocktail.
I like the sea in the background and the imagery in the foreground, however the sand would need to be black and the legs are not appropriate to the book.
I like everything about this cover apart from the dog
This cover shows a more ethereal vibe and I like the colours
If the design is one image I would like it to be a close up like this and if it is a flower perhaps hibiscus or something pretty that grows in Tenerife.
I like the sea in the background and an image that appeals to women in the foreground. I don't like the balustrade and the main character isn't this slim
I like the colours, the blurred sea in the background and the imagery in the foreground, but I don't really like the way the title covers the main image... it just doesn't seem to work.
I love the ethereal background, the sunlight and that the image clearly looks very happy. I also like the font of the title.
Just an example of a close up of an image that is appropriate to angels and to the book
If the design is drawn I like the idea of a large title with much smaller images around it like this. Appropriate images would be feathers and angelic things, hibiscus flowers, frangipani flowers, cocktails, and things that women use when getting dressed up like high heels, lipstick, make up brushes etc.
