Mellonmac has a great understanding if what I'm looking for. With a few cue's from me he always comes back with a range of great designs from which we hone in on the final choice with ease. I really value his ability to interpret my needs into great designs, and the speed of his response.
Najma integrated all of the components listed in my design explanation. This cover is layered in ideas pointing to the title of my book. Najma presented several different covers to address my requests. I am thrilled with the outcome. Thank You!!!
Great work and the print quality was perfect!

I want a book cover of mine re-designed. Attached is a picture of the hard copy cover that I now want transformed into an e-book cover.
There are 2 parts to the current illustration. The Moon and the Victorian chap in front of the theatre. I would like to go with the moon - the hooded eyes and monocle face - in a deep amber, very autumanl.
The title should be much easier to read, probably a deep red in colour.
The title is MOONLIT Days and Nights so obviously the moon should dominate. I don't know if part or all of the chap in front of the theatre should be used at all. I imagine it will make it too busy.
This is a Victorian thriller (you can read the 1st 3 chapters for free at davidhtoole.com) so there should be suggestions of Victoriana - like maybe ornate iron street lamps or victorian roof tops in profile or ??
The title should be in a very legible Victorian Script. And the overall feel should be very deep rich jewel tone colours.
Hello to everyone who has submited a design. You should all look at the hard copy version of the cover that I attached to my description of what I wanted. The face in the moon should be on the moon in this version. By that I mean, the identical or nearly identical face with the monocle and hooded eye lids. The title lettering must be easy to read, big and bold. It should probably be above the moon. And the author's name should be D.H. Toole, not David Toole. Also you don't have to use the word "by" before the author's name. The background colour should not be black. It should be maybe a vibrant blue so the lettering will stand out. Please look at the attachments below to see the colours I want. Keep up the fight!
