Mellonmac has a great understanding if what I'm looking for. With a few cue's from me he always comes back with a range of great designs from which we hone in on the final choice with ease. I really value his ability to interpret my needs into great designs, and the speed of his response.
- 360° dezigns
360 designs designed a great original design for a book. They were happy to make any amendments and provided the files in various requested sizes at good speed! I would recommend them!

Looking for book cover art design for the first book of a 3-4 book series.
Hey everyone! This is my second time using 99designs, and was thrilled with my last contest! Here is the general concept I am looking for: The cover will essentially be a depiction of the throne room of the main city in the book (Qapra) with a throne in the center and a crown resting on the throne (with a few stone steps leading up to the throne). I would like for the background to have a cold/lifeless feeling to it, as though the only things that have any "feeling" to it are the throne and crown. The crown itself should be little more than a golden circlet with a few studded gems (any color/variety of gem colors is fine). For the back cover, I would like it to have the same cold feeling, and beneath where the synopsis will be I would like to have two kings (chess pieces), with a fallen white king and the black king sort of "standing over" the fallen piece. The attached file is a few general concept ideas for what I am looking for with the design elements to be included (but they are simply concepts...feel free to come up with your own variations, as the different styles will help me narrow in on a winner). Also, it is important that the series title and book title be placed at the top (with the book title being a larger font than that series title), and the author name (R. S. Embach) being at the bottom. As far as font choice, I would like the title(s) to have a medieval feeling to them, but the author name to be a simpler type of font.My main concern in the initial stage is the front cover look. The back cover can be saved until later.I would be happy to answer any questions you might have regarding anything I may have left out. Thanks!
