Entertainment & The Arts
My novel "Miss?" (please include the quotation marks) currently has an amateur cover and I'd like to replace it with something more compelling. The target audience is teachers, parents of school-age kids, school administrators, and anyone interested in what's happening in our troubled public schools today.
What's your vision?
A photo-manipulated book cover, front and back and spine, for: * a paperback: 258 pages, 6" x .06" x 9", with all the files needed to upload to CreateSpace and IngramSpark (including .jpg), and * including files for all e-book versions (Kindle, ePub). On the front cover: Title: "Miss?" (please include the quotation marks) Author: Laurel McHargue Story synopsis: A cute, young teacher, Maggie, is a petite, short-wild-haired, flamboyantly-dressed new 7th grade English teacher in a troubled school. Her students, who come from all ethnic backgrounds, are out of control. An imposing security guard makes inappropriate advances toward her (maybe he's in the shadows somewhere) and doesn't like that she's dating the gym teacher (he ends up bringing a gun and threatening to shoot him one day). She thinks her job will be easy, but nothing could be further from the truth. She's frazzled. The title, "Miss?" is how the students address their teacher. The IndieReader Approved sticker (attached) should go somewhere on the front. BE CREATIVE! On the back cover, in addition to the title, please include this quote: "4.5 stars. Based on actual events, 'Miss?' is a whirlwind of a read . . ." ~ Cassidy Holmes, IndieReader and this text blurb: Maggie McCauley, a feisty young Army veteran, believes her new life as a 7th grade English teacher will be a breeze. She finds out quickly how very wrong she is as she deals with out-of-touch administrators and an inappropriate security guard who resorts to violence. In a school targeted for closure, how will she possibly succeed? And what will happen to her students? Under my name on the back cover, please include: www.leadvillelaurel.com and above the space for the ISBN and bar code, please include: US $12.95
I included my company logo (ALPHA PEAK), which should go on the spine, and the IndieReader Approved sticker that should go somewhere on the cover.
