LocLe was persistent in presenting numerous variations of a basic design he obviously believed in. He was quickly responsive to suggestions and was able to create and refine a design that many individuals, including myself, recognized to be one that best met my needs. He was able to take simplicity to the next level and win against very strong competition.
thanks so much
This designer was awesome! I just loved the work, communication and his willingness to change the subtitles and such. Will definitely hire again!
Amazing result in short turn around time. Thank you!

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I normally publish with traditional publishers (Harper Collins, etc.) but I felt this book needed to get to the public quicker. (It takes a year to bring a traditional book to print.) The message of this book is hope for those who have felt marked by past sexual abuse. Its audience is primarily women, though men are a strong secondary audience. It's written by me, but my husband has also shared his journey in living with a sexual abuse survivor.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Not Marked: Find Hope and Healing in the Aftermath of Sexual Abuse by Mary DeMuth. I envision some sort of graphic mark as the primary image. Typography is great too. The simpler, the more striking, the better. Bold, in your face, rocking design. It doesn't need to be black/red/white, but it does need to stand out. It's okay to have an image of someone too. The design is for both the ebook and the print book, so including the back is a bonus. I've attached my author photo (for back cover copy) and three black and whites of me as a child that you also might incorporate into the design. These were taken during the year I was sexually abused. Also attached is my latest website design (not yet public). Thanks for keeping these under wraps.
