What's your vision?
I would like an book cover design to be used for eBook and POD (paperback, hardcover). The title of the book is Playing the Game of Life: The Art of Success or Failure. Book Overview: The secret to survive and thrive in this life, regardless of your background, intelligence, family connections or education is to know that every hand is a winner and every hand is a loser. Success in any endeavor in life is not necessarily based on the cards you have in hand; your success will depend upon how you play the game. What separates true professionals, real leaders and other successful people is that they continuously work to grow and learn by playing the game. They leverage strengths, develop new strengths and minimize weaknesses. They have more cards to play and their weaker cards are stronger than the average person’s best cards. This book is inspired by the traditional deck of playing cards, diamonds, clubs, hearts and spades. Diamonds represent areas of personal effectiveness such as sense of purpose, personal branding, and change readiness. Clubs represent areas such as decision making, accountability, creativity and planning. Hearts represent relationships, influence and emotional intelligence. Finally, spades represent leadership. For example the Ace of Diamonds is Foundation & Purpose, King of Clubs is Decision Making, Queen of Hearts is Trust & Understanding, and Two of Spades is Role Model. There are four markets for this book – progressive executives, true professionals, young adults (high achievers) and adolescent (high achievers). As a result, I would like to cover to appeal to both young adults and business professionals, not too formal but also not too playful.
I would like to incorporate an image of the four suites of cards - diamonds, hearts, clubs and spades. These images don't have to dominate the cover but need to be there. Also I'm not necessarily interested in showing a hand of cards, or a specific. card like an Ace or King, just the image of the spade and the other three. The main content of the book also uses a color wheel to illustrate the diversity of all people. For example, all people included you fall somewhere on the color wheel and you have a specific pattern and intensity of color which is what makes you unique and one of a kind. See color wheel and branding card supplement images to describe more. Related to the young adult and business professional comment earlier, I'm not looking for something mystical or astrological related to playing cards.
