Life After 50 STRETCHING
Alicia Diaz / Lee Davidson
Alicia Diaz and Lee Davidson are in their mid-fifties and are physically active. They love being physically active, mainly in tennis and running, and are also avid hikers. Early in life, they were both very active in athletics and well into their 20’s. Like millions of other families, once they started raising children, sports and athletics took a back seat to the priorities in life. However, once they entered their 50’s as empty nesters, they rediscovered their passion for being active once again. Alicia and Lee have become respected leaders in their community during the last 10 years. They travel and speak to groups and know what they’re talking about when it comes to getting back into sport at a competitive level. They lead by example. Jumping back into physical activity at mid-life can be challenging to engage at a later age. Alicia and Lee have been exemplary at showing the way in helping others over 50 years of age to do the same.
The book is all about the benefits of stretching and increasing flexibility and range of motion. By applying the information described in the book, the target audience would benefit in a physical way, in that they would ensure a more pain-free lifestyle as they continue to age past 50. There are stretch routines and illustrations. The stretching routines include the top ten physical activities that 50+ are involved in. Instructions along with illustrations will be a great way to continue working on health well beyond 50 years of age.
This book is written for 50+ year-olds who continue to be active (or somewhat active) in sports and other recreational activities. The target audience will be women and men over 50 who realize they’re not able to physically perform as well as they used to. They have likely gained some weight, become out of shape, and have lost flexibility. They seek to feel better, look better, and are more concerned with staying slimmer, losing the extra fat, and staying healthier. They’re discovering the aches and pains of being 50+ years of age.
Looking for a clean cover with a title that stands out. We want to incorporate the "Life After 50" phrase on the cover, so readers will recognize the brand first. It would be in smaller text than the title itself "Stretching". It's planned to be the first in a series of 6 to 8 books. We want all the books in the series to have a consistent look so they will all be recognizable, with the same authors. Additional books to come under the series of "Life After 50" STRENGTH TRAINING, NUTRITION, BRAIN HEALTH, WALK, JOG, RUN KETO DIET, PLANT-BASED
What to avoid
Avoid older and out-of-shape people for the cover. Avoid yoga poses, that will be for another book.
