Business & Consulting
My co-author and I are Evernote Ambassadors and co-writing (and independently publishing) a business ebook targeted to independent entrepreneurs. The ebook describes how we use Evernote to manage our business (and personal lives) and also provides workflows and advice on how the self employed can maximize Evernote for their own productivity and efficiency. It is a niche book that targets Evernote users users (about 80M+ people). For those unfamiliar with Evernote, Evernote (http://www.Evernote.com) is a cloud based note taking and productivity software. The tagline of the company is Remember Everything. The value of the software is that you can save anything (notes, images, documents, webpages, etc) in one place and access that data from any device at any time, for free. Our book shows workflows and tips for using Evernote to break free from a traditional work environment and work from anywhere...hence the book title - Untethered with Evernote: Tips and workflows for independent entrepreneurs.
What's your vision?
Front cover eBook design only. Title: Untethered with Evernote Subtitle: Tips and workflows for independent entrepreneurs Authors: Stacey Harmon and Kristi Willis FORMATS: We will require the original file and any supporting files as well as image files that meet the specifications for the following online distributors: - Amazon - Apple - Nook - Google Play COVER DESIGN: It must be easily read as a small image and look good online. Our readers will see the cover in a variety of sizes on their web browser. They’ll see it large on the product page, but small on the pages of similar products. WANT: Tone - Want to graphically communicate (either with the title design or an image or both) the freedom/agility that the term "Untethered" brings up for us. The book shows readers how to work from anywhere utilizing cloud based technologies, with Evernote as the hub of that freedom. Clean - The design should be fresh, open, and have a sharpness to it. Clear & Readable – The title and subtitle should stand out and be the first thing people notice. Professional – I want the reader to feel confident purchasing the book and the target audience is a work crowd. Strong – I want the cover to be bold and confident (grab the readers attention), but you can also make it fun, too. DON’T WANT: Messy - The book is about productivity and efficiency and the cover needs to reflect that. Cluttered & Chaotic – We don’t want the reader to have to find the title and separate different aspects of the cover. We want everything to be very smooth and crisp. Photos – No photos of people or other things on them. (Images or graphics are ok though). Also, NO use of elephants (the mascot of Evernote). Archaic Technology – We don’t want typewriters or scrolls or quills. The cover should not reflect things people don’t use anymore. The book is about mobility, cloud based software productivity, internet based technologies. The technology is progressive, but also very accessible and the cover should reflect that. Stuffy - The cover should not feel dated. COVERS WE LIKE We like the look of both of these book covers that are complimentary topics to our material and have successful sales. Although our cover does not need to "blend" with these two, it needs to be on par with the level of design: https://www.evernote.com/market/feature/ibook?sku=EBOK00102 Let us know if there’s any other information you need. We are happy to provide it!
VERY IMPORTANT: The design must NOT be in violation of the Evernote trademark and brand guidelines presented here: http://evernote.com/trademark/ http://evernote.com/media/pdf/evernote_quick_brand_guidelines.pdf The design must also adhere to the Evernote partner guidelines presented in the attached file.
