MARION.HUGHE9 got their new book cover by running a design contest:
Who likes disco balls and free cheese?
Check out MARION.HUGHE9's Book cover contest…
M.K. Hughes is a writer, wisdom seeker and sees herself as God's disco ball trying to shine specks of light, color, and love wherever she goes. She is a recovering addict, worrywart, and helicopter parent of two. M.K. serves as a Technology Director in the public sector and ministers at her local jail. She and her husband live in Northern California.
Government Cheese, a memoir, recounts the life of a red-headed middle kid from the 70's thrusted into a chaotic environment where she learns how to navigate step-monsters, poverty, humiliation, addictions, criminal boyfriends and attempts to scratch and claw her way towards functioning adulthood without the help of proper parenting.
This memoir would appeal to any adult who has dealt with adversity, shame, or a dysfunctional past and is trying to find unmedicated joy while doing life. It would especially appeal to adult children of addicts or divorce, working parents, current or recovering addicts and anyone with a pulse who loves to read and is trying to figure out how to live their best life no matter what happens.

Other color requirements
I love seafoam green and aqua, consider using that in some of the lettering. and color disco balls make me happy. Thanks so much!! Also I added a couple pics and info below. Would love the block of cheese to sit upon a plate that is similar to the one I uploaded below with one of those handheld wire cheese slicers, if possible
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
