This is a contest to design one (1) book cover (front, back, and spine). The basic concept of this design will also be used for a family of six books in a variety (rainbow) of colors.
As part of a new corporate branding project, we are developing a new look and feel for our six (6) major training programs that we offer. Each set of workshop courseware will include spiral bound workbooks, CD/DVD labels, posters, job aids (in many different forms), and a Microsoft PowerPoint template. But the first and most foundational component of each courseware kit is a perfect-bound book (approximately 260 to 300 pages).
Each of our six programs is symbolized with its own custom icon and color (within a family of product with a similar look and feel). So, the book cover design has to work for multiple books simply by changing the imagery (or background color) and the copy. We will also translate and print each of these six books into approximately 10 languages.
The title of this first book in the series is: Sales Excellence Methodology
The author’s name, Bill Stinnett, should be featured prominently on the cover.
We prefer large, strong, sans serif fonts that are easy to read.
The book will be 6 in. x 9 in. and printed as a full-color (inside and out) perfect-bound premium paperback.
The purpose of the new book will be two-fold . . . 1) As the cornerstone component of a kit of learning materials (text book), and 2) As an eye-catching calling card to send to sales executives as a marketing tool.
Based on the international reach of our company and the reputation of our firm, we fully expect this book to reach both the Amazon.com and New York Times Bestseller lists.
A credit of “Cover Design by ___________” will be included on every book we sell.
