Educational business that offers SAT preparation/tutoring to high school students in Los Angeles.
Why they want branding:
Sable is one of the best SAT/ACT tutors in the country and is pretty well known among private high schools (some clients have flown from Asia and Europe to meet with them). Up until now, they've intentionally kept a low-profile and keeps their contact information a secret, but they've been expanding for a few years and want to finally make their services a little more accessible as they plan a larger expansion.
Words to describe the business:
- Rabidly competitive
- Love of knowledge
- Exploring the world through the pages of literature
- Becoming grammarians
A note from the CEO of the company:
"I’m not feminine. I want a bolder, aggressive look and feel. We use a battering ram to push the gates open. Okay, maybe not war themed but stronger, assertive. I want my client to feel like they’re going to a warrior who will fight for them (in a nice way). Collegiate feel. Not a house or dainty butterfly but the gates, maybe slightly open. I am not good at this. But if it helps, I spent 17 years only wearing black."
The slogan, "College Consultants", is not required for design but if it helps make it feel more complete, then use it.
Things to Avoid:
- Direct educational marks (books, apples, brains, and other imagery that is tied to education)
- Complicated designs. The name and mark should be able to live separately, simplicity is key
