Alex is an absolute pleasure to work with! He is prompt, flexible, and very creative. Our one-on-one project required a lot of back and forth and Alex created great designs very quickly. We did not have a very clear idea of what we wanted but we let Alex know about the ideas we were hoping to showcase; he did a great job creating icons based on abstract information and did so very promptly. He is quick to respond and easy to communicate with.
I had a wonderful experience working with Alex I definitely recommend him for a one-on-one project.
How TendersLounge started their button or icon journey
Mobile Goalie is a news app for hockey goalies. It streams goalie-focused news stories and tweets. The app is very much about goalies staying connected to their heroes and their craft, even when they're not playing themselves.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Target audience = hockey goalies. Boys, girls, men, women, young, old, all over the world. They are very passionate about their sport, hockey, but even more passionate about their position, goalie.
This logo/icon/button will represent the Mobile Goalie app in the iTunes and Android Marketplace stores. It needs to convey that this app is about:
- hockey goalies
The app is designed but there is no website yet, so I'm flexible on color and branding. I want it to be noticeable in both app stores when a user does a search for "goalie" or "sports" but i don't want it to be too flashy.
I have one idea in my head but I'm open to all ideas. If you go to http://www.tenderslounge.com (my site) you'll see a silhouette of a goalie in the top right corner. One idea I'd love to see is a similar silhouette of a goalie, resting, but looking at his phone at the same time. So he's checking out goalie news while he's playing. But like I said, I'm open to any ideas that convey "goalie" and "mobile" in one image, including just text.
I know it's a small button so there's not a lot of room to be creative or use a large image. I understand this issue in reviewing submissions.
