Hoot! (SansMischevia)
We are experienced silicon valley software veterans working on a new and novel way for smartphone users to send voice texts to one another. PTT (Push to talk) is a hot arena where user adoption is skyrocketing.
Hoot is an Android and iPhone application that makes it super easy to send voice texts to a group of your friends. We are 90% completed, and we would like to concentrate our energy on the visual appeal of the application. The functionality of the application is complete.
The main audience targets Android users at first. Teenagers, young adults who are hip and up to date with mobile application trends will find this application appealing.
We are looking for an owl themed avatar to grace our mobile application. You're free to create a simple, clean design that can convey the following moods (not all):
- Cheerful
- Mysterious
- Playful
Since this is a voice messaging application where users send each other messages through Push-To-Talk technology, the owl can be depicted doing some sort of action, such as "hoot-ing", flying, sitting, etc.
The icon would ideally be suitable to be used in the following scenarios:
- Main application icon (the icon users click when they want to start the app)
- Splash landing page (the page that shows when users are waiting for the application to load)
- The icon the user presses and holds when recording a voice message.
The winner of the contest will have the opportunity to work with us on creating the remaining visual assets.
Attached are existing screenshots of the application.
