Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our Organisation is focused on Entrepreneurship development, from youth through to small business owners. This product however is to be used within the kids life studio in Ethiopia with funky young girls.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Design a Modern looking paper doll. The purpose of the doll is for young girls in Africa to relate to, that looks like them and allow them to dream of the future.
The TARGET: Young girls aged 6-12 based
GEOGRAPHICAL TARGET: Initially Ethiopia. in the end - mainly the African market.
The essence of the CONCEPT:
The young adult paper doll as per examples attached however must have an Ethiopian featured look, must be new, hip, modern.
She has to resemble the typical young woman of the time and will be printed on card board and cut out so that she can stand alone - so some kind of stand is needed to enable her to stand up, but the space
between her legs and arms should be free/open so that the clothes can fit with the typical paper doll tags. Skin tone, etc. all matters. The position she stands in is very important - please see the different samples I have attached -
Size - between 22 / 25 cm or so
We first need the doll only, however if there are brave hearts who want to show us what their concepts would look like for future designs when clothes would be added a set of outfits, the typical jeans, tops, dresses, etc, but will also have one or two traditional Ethiopian outfits, this will count in your favour for future selection of designs.
Please note the attached are only examples of the standing position we like and the type of modern look and feel. Please do not copy these, but rather use as inspiration to come up with an Ethiopian looking modern paper doll
