LT News - http://www.ltnews.net
LT News was successfully launched a little over a year ago. Quickly, it has become a staple of targeted Lithuanian online news. "LT" is short for, Lithuanian. So, basically it is Lithuanian News and Information via internet. This site helps people who are interested in learning about the Lithuanian culture (because of family, friends or circumstances).
LT News has over 5,000 active monthly subscribers and our site and Facebook page has over 50,000 daily post views. We had over 70,000 the other day.
If you view the website, http://www.ltnews.net, you will see a nice looking product. This is the initial version and now the site needs a makeover. Not an overhaul... just a design makeover that will help the site look like it is performing.
Our trending show these exact stats:
45% male and 53% female
Half our subscribers are in the U.S. and half are in Lithuania.
The requirements are that the design must be able to be coded and work when installed onto my Ning site (social network platform). ning.com
99designs does not yet partner with Ning, but Ning uses CSS coding in the back-end.
I am using the 99designs coding platform to code whatever the winning design will be.
As you will see on our current site, http://www.ltnews.net , the side bars and header image are the main focuses for design. The middle portion (body) with the boxes, can be tweaked with sub headers and footers.
Somehow the site needs to have "LT News", "Sponsored by Taupa Lithuanian Credit Union", "Taupa Logo".
Possible things that could help:
Lithuania's flag is: yellow, green, red
Attached is a picture of the Lithuanian coat of arms... the "Vytis"
This can be creatively added somehow but is not required. This image is the default picture that our subscribers get.
This design needs to really be a "grabber" and also be very impressive looking to a younger, knowledgeable audience.
The winner of this contest will hit a home run and there will be no question as to who the winner is.
