A Slack for your close friends. Targeted at 20-30 years old age groups Tap> aims to make it easier for you to engage with your top 30 closest friends. Think of Tap> has a mix between a social platform and a messaging app, with the goal of making it more efficient to stay in touch with your closest friends. It allows you to organize poll, events, etc right from the app.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
Looked for a mature, attractive design. It can be playful but serious as well.
- I like lighter color tones - a white background or something with a bright gradient.
- For the logo in the icon, I don’t have a clear idea yet. I toyed with concepts that include an emoji in the design (e.g., the shaka handsign) but didn't get it to look mature enough - if you can make it look “hip” that’s a direction I would consider. However please avoid any logo with a T in it or an airplane (too many messaging app have that) - unless of course you have a killer logo :-)
- Color tone can be anything. Bright colors work best. I can see a white background or a flashy gradient.
The app MVP is on the app store. The design is a bit of a joke and I am hoping that this icon work will give the tone for what the app should become (so don't anchor on the current app design). Lots of people complain it is too blue :)
App icons I like - all the Apple ones especially Weather, Health, Facetime or AppStore. YT and YT Gaming, Robinhood (really like the low poly art design).
