Trailr is an iPhone application that helps users discover movie trailers by taking pictures of movie posters or DVD covers.

We need an icon for our iPhone application called Trailr. The icon must respect the iPhone icon design guidelines. Trailr is an iPhone application designed at LTU technologies (www.ltutech.com, see attached logo) that allows users to view movie trailers by simply taking a picture of a movie poster of DVD cover. Using the app is fairly simple: 1) open application 2) snap picture of poster 3) view trailer. The application is itself a direct application of LTU's image recognition technology. One of its puposes is to convey a sense of "magic" and to impress the user with the rapidity and the accuracy of the whole recognition process. The app is not aimed at the corporate market, but rather at the general audience. As such, it is meant to be intuitive and playful. The icon must remind the user of the cinema universe. We are pretty open to innovative suggestions from the contestants designers: the icon may contain just about any visual element that reminds us of the film universe at large. As far as colors go, it would be great to have LTU's orange (#FF9933, see attached logo), but a good choice of color will be favored over our corporate color chart.
