Business & Consulting
Training and consulting for governments and non-profits in the areas of strategy, planning, performance, leadership, productivity and process. Zelos means “zeal” in Greek so we approach our clients with great enthusiasm in support of their missions.
What's your vision?
Zelos needs a set of icons/illustrations designed for its website and print materials. We will use these icons to represent our six service areas + our team approach to better help clients understand what areas we have expertise, training courses and thought leadership in. Here are the seven areas that we need icons/illustrations for: 1. Strategy 2. Leadership 3. Planning 4. Performance 5. Productivity 6. Process 7. Teams / teamwork We are looking for a vectorized image in either EPS or AI format. Our anticipated size for use on the website will be 350 width x 100 height (pixels) so please use that ratio for design. For #s 1-6, the word itself should a prominent part of the design. For #7, teams/teamwork, the word can appear but doesn’t have to appear as long as the icon/illustration demonstrates teamwork. We like the depth, solid colors, and style of Flat UI as a reference at http://designmodo.com/demo/flat-ui/. These icons are engaging but simple and clear, which is how Zelos operates. Other “likes”: Myriad Pro & Stacy’s Hand have always been favorite fonts, and the graphics of the Grove Consultants International in its Virtual Leadership book are also intriguing. See http://www.grove.com/site/visual_leaders.html. What we don’t want: - Gradients - Drop shadows - Complexity - Real people / photos Our logo is attached. Our primary color is hex # F15C22 (orange); we do not have a specific secondary color, although we’ve used black, dark blue and grey. For this project, I’d prefer brighter colors---perhaps a bright green (like RGB 146/208/80).
Some of the tools we use in our work are flip charts, white boards, post-its, pencils, erasers, process flows, multi-voting methods (dots, polls, etc.), online surveys, strategy maps. Update, 4/4: I am uploading a really good example of why I am NOT allowed to design my own icons!! Please don't stink like I do! How awful! Can't wait to see your designs! (Filename: Process.gif)

Beautiful! Great job. Thank you so much for the lovely designs and for being a pleasure to work with! Professional, accommodating, good eye for detail, understood what we needed.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
