We’re 99designs’ Community Team. We offer a regular series of Community Contests to help you build your portfolio, improve your skills and have some fun while receiving direct feedback from 99designs staff. We can’t wait to see what you create next!

It was around this time last year that most of the world locked down. As offices and studios shuttered around the globe, creatives packed up their supplies and went home. Certainly no one expected it to last this long. But one (ultra-slow-feeling) year later, here we are! The #wanderlust is real right now, but we can still appreciate how far we’ve come and find inspiration in our surroundings. → The challenge: Take us on a journey to your everyday paradise: design a postcard inspired by where you’re spending lockdown. Though you’re not limited to the following, here are some ideas you could include on your card: • The scenic view from your desk or workspace • A slice of your daily lockdown routine • A landmark from your community (or just the mountain of laundry in your house!) • A personal memory from the past year • A motivational message to the outside world • Greetings from your hometown (or just your bed) • A unique way you stay connected to your community • A tribute to the people who spent lockdown with you (shoutout to your pod!) Whether you go for a classic vintage-inspired look, something typographic or abstract, we want you to design this in YOUR style. Choose between 4”x6” or 5”x7” format Your postcard can be vertical or horizontal. Focus on the front of the postcard. No need to design a back.
