We are absolutely happy with the result of this contest. AMSEN was really quick and precise doing all sort of changes, and the proposal was creative but specific enough for our purpose :)

How kbadinger started their landing page design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Mathapillar is a math game designed primarily to help children learn their math facts. The goal of the addictive game is to hook children so that they continue to play for the fun of it and thus continue to learn and reinforce their math facts. While elementary aged children are the obvious target as primary users of the app, elementary school teachers are also a huge target audience as a goal is to have educators realize the benefits of mathapillar as a learning tool for their students.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
What do you have in mind for the style and theme of the landing page?
The goal is to be appealing to young parents as well as elementary teachers. While young children are the primary users of the game, their parents and teachers will be the ones clicking through the landing page. So the visual needs to convey both the childlike fun as well as the educational components to the game. We think that a cartoon and/or illustration feel will help convey both these ideas while appealing to the broad demographic we are targeting. The game itself is visually based around an old school green chalkboard so it would make sense for that to play into the stylistic design of the landing page.
Elements to include in the landing page
There needs to be the link-out to privacy, terms, support as well as a place to link to download the game. There needs to be a little space to describe the game, but how much space is used for that is open for design. The page also needs a place to link to facebook.
The only element that should be mostly intact is the caterpillar, but artistic freedom might be a good idea depending on design. I have attached an image of the caterpillar. However, it can obviously move around or even change its position or shape as long as it is a good representation. I have attached screenshots of the app to show some of the other elements of the game that can be incorporated as desired. While we feel it is very important to include game elements it is not necessary to limit the design to only game elements to convey the principle that this game is as educational as it is fun.
