Awesome "Death" Logo for New Fiction Magazine

I am looking for an icon and the words The Deadlands to be used on my website, and as the title font in the magazine I am making. The winning design will be one that incorporates a logo/icon that represents some aspect of Death (see below) alongside a very nice looking (custom, perhaps?) font of: The Deadlands. The Various Aspects of Death to Consider in the Logo: - the grim reaper - skulls - ravens? - maaaaaybe a dead tree, but that feels cliche and not exciting or daring - other cool stuff you think of I would definitely NOT want to see: - grave stones - coffins - crosses The icon you design should be easily scalable (by which I mean the logo should be recognizable and clear at either ver small or very large sizes, so you shouldn't make something too illustrated or with too many lines. Don't make it too cartoony or too cutesy. That is not my aesthetic at all and you will not have a shot at winning for sure. If you want to get a good feel for the mood and aesthetic the zine will be going for, read The Hollow Men by T.S. Eliot, as that is OUR inspiration, so it might as well be yours :) https://allpoetry.com/the-hollow-men The stories in the magazine will be about death personified, the grim reaper, death myths (like Charon and the River Styx, and Orpheus), life after death, limnal spaces, the underworld, etc. So the logo should capture some aspect of that… ***UPDATE*** Just wanted to post a quick update to help submissions get a bit closer to what I'm looking for. I'm seeing a lot of "scary, angry death" stuff. Which is cool, but not quite what I'm going for. Seriously, go read that poem. It's not all scowling skulls, but rather a desolate, empty land. The kingdom of death. Not scary grim reaper, but more of... IDK, a sophisticated literary approach to the underworld and psychopomps rather than "scary grim reaper you see on a tshirt at a monster truck rally" or something. Hope that helps :)
