There is absolutely no doubt that ruci is a fantastic designer. Ruci's design was instantly my favourite and required zero tweaking. I was happy with it immediately.
However, the handover process was a bit slow. And ruci's communication wasn't the best during it. I would use ruci again, I just hope that he/she is more attentive to the client's requests after winning the contest.

I sell marketing consulting to independently owned bars, cafes and
restaurants in Melbourne. My brand and the way I write is quite
laidback, informal and has lot of personality so I want the logo to
be playful and simple, yet still looking very professional.

logo needs to go and the type of site it needs to fit into. I'm not
set on having the green static menu at the top yet (I might turn it
black or grey), but the logo will go in the top left hand corner
there is 'Very Simple Marketing' as a placeholder. Pay no attention
how that placeholder looks though - I want something much more
distinctive and more playful.
Maybe try some stylised combinations of vsm as a logo. Lower case,
simple, playful fonts might be a good choice to convey the
