Please don't adhere to strictly to the 'Values". I am happy to be proven wrong by the artist. I would like to convey sophistication, and seriousness. I want to the reader to expect elevated and enlightening discourse in our pieces.
I had the idea that the site should pull together the kind of content The New Yorker is famous for, with a similar layout and feel. The site should feel like a good Sunday newspaper from the good old days. I want there to be a Grantland.com kind of vibe as well. Off-beat and in-depth material.
I feel like too many sites gravitate to a "red and black" color palette, and want to avoid that while still keeping the feel those colors convey, if possible.
I want to keep a very unified look and feel. The Web site logo needs to transfer well to business cards, I would like for there to be a long form or presenting ShoutFilter as well as an abbreviated 'SF' form that could be used in a favicon, among other places.
