How TendersLounge started their logo design journey
TendersLounge is a blog for hockey goalies. The idea is modeled after the Hot Stove Lounge which used to be in the old Maple Leaf Gardens. It was a place where reporters, coaches and players were able to have off-the-record conversations in a casual bar atmosphere.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our audience is goalies and hockey fans who are interested in goalies. They range in age from 10 to 75. Most are located in the US and Canada but also come from European countries.
Looking for something that conveys:
- casual lounge atmosphere
If you think of an old-school lounge w/ high backed, red leather benches and a martini glass on the neon sign outside, that's the idea I want to convey.
The idea in my head is a different font for "Tenders" and "Lounge", with Tenders being a script and Lounge being art deco and/or neon. If you think of a scripted capital "T" I'd like to see what that looks like w/ a goalie stick forming the base of the T and a scriptive ~ topping it off. (does that make sense?)
