ArcaMax Publishing got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Book Website Logo

BookDaily will allow consumers to preview the first chapter of any book online in the BookDaily library. The site will also offer book reviews, book news, and newsletters. All content on BookDaily is free.
What's your vision?
The logo should have a book-feel but does not have to include a book image. A creative interpretation of a book is preferred, as well as icon-like logos. The color palette for the site includes burgundy, beige, and white; with small accents of blue and orange. (A color sample of the site can be found here.) The logo will be placed on a burgundy background on the site. A version for a white background is also needed. The tagline is “Book Samples for Book Lovers.” This can be incorporated into the logo. The winner should supply the logo in a vectorized format in both rgb and cymk. The logo should be scalable to 72dpi and 300 dpi.
