How Trbarto started their logo design journey
Putting up a website to post updates about the disaster and photos etc.
The LOGO should be single color unless the use of color adds meaningful visual energy...
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Everyone who cares about what is happening in the gulf and wants to help with a information or to vent about the disaster, update when Oil is hitting their coast line or beach front property and post their video or photos.
Logo should be gentle, attractive - not too busy - political overtones are OK - being a little harsh on BP also OK - but be careful using their logo - I don' t need a lawsuite and I don't think you need to tread that close to them to meet our objective.
Focus on creating a logo which will help the cause of restoration and protection and not pointing the finger - there will be plenty of time to point the finger...
This geologic formation really has a great name - you can use these names without recourse from BP.
Deep Water Horizon Disaster (the facility that failed was BP's Deep Water Horizon facility).
Mississippi Canyon 252 - that is the name of the formation they were drilling in - you can use Mississippi Canyon Disaster - or some combination of the two.
I don't necessarily want to degredate BP - they are only partly responsible. They were still given the right to drill by our US Government. Their engineers knew they only had the technology to drill and not repair - I suspect the company knew too as well as the US Gov't.
