How zackwilson started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Breezy (can be in all-caps, standard capitalization or lowercase)
What’s your company slogan?
Digital Cinema Package or "DCP" - this is optional.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We create "Digital Cinema Packages" aka DCPs that independent filmmakers use to play and project their films in professional theaters. It is generally a stressful process, so we want to position ourselves to be an easygoing, stress-free, safe and friendly service. The filmmakers tend to be artistic, indie, millennial, and hipster-y. Think of logos from San Francisco or Brooklyn.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Entertainment & The Arts
What colors do you want to see in your design?
Other color requirements
We also like the idea of having a nice monochromatic version of the logo that we can overlay on top of photographs and other art.
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
I like the simple iconography, color and font.
This is a little fun and edgy, not sure if it would work with our brand but wanted to include this.
We like the badge-like quality of this logo. The font is probably a little too extreme for us but isn't bad.
I like the layout and extra detailing in the "RAW" part.
I like logos and fonts that can be applied to various artistic backgrounds like this. The handwriting is fun, but probably a little too feminine for our product.
There's a delicate line that we are walking with this. We want it to feel edgy and artistic, yet professional and reliable. Modern and indie are the main stylistic features. We are open to "badge"-like icons, but it doesn't have to be that. Icons and even mascots can be fun and we are open to that, but it doesn't have to be part of it. If you're thinking about incorporating any film-related icons, please make sure it's used in a unique way or style and it's not too on-the-nose. Our product doesn't involve cameras or clappers, so please don't include those icons if you decide to use film icons. We're open to brush, handwritten or clean modern fonts. With the font for the logo, we want to make sure it has a little extra flare or something unique so that it isn't just our name typed out.
