My niche is largely defined in three parts: 1) I am one of the youngest major airline captains in the country, thus implying that I’ve had a relatively high level of career success at an early age; 2) The skills, processes and procedures we use on the flight deck to create an incredible level of safety and success despite dynamic conditions and stresses every day also apply to the more traditional business world or even an individual or student's life; 3) My MBA gives me the credibility to bridge the gap between aviation and the corporation. Through speaking and training, I will link all three of these concepts together, create frameworks that others can model, and inspire my clients to take action and achieve amazing results.
I'd really like the logo to feature aviation or the sense of flying because of how central it is to my brand.
Of course, the flip side of being the youngest anything is that it can imply inexperience. I need the logo to reinforce the fact that I am an experienced professional while also presenting a feeling of youthful energy and excitement that would imply to a prospective client that my keynotes and workshops would be fun, engaging and interactive as well as educational and value-adding to the organization.
Overall, I want my clients to see the logo and think, "Korry Franke has been incredibly successful in his aviation career, he's knowledgeable about the business concepts he discusses, and he inspires people in his audiences and classes to both believe they can succeed and to know they have the tools needed to take action today."
Lastly, while I am still developing a good tag line and don't want one incorporated in this logo design, just in case they may be helpful to you understanding the essence of my brand I’ll include a few I’m considering here: Let Your Success Takeoff; Your Results Are About To Take Off; Dream Bigger and Climb Higher; Take Command of Your Success; Take Command of Your Results; etc. As you can see, the theme is taking personal or organizational performance and results to the next level. By using my frameworks, clients will achieve personal or professional success, particularly when it comes to strategic planning, crisis management or general leadership.
As a final note...of the two sample logos listed on this design brief, I prefer the one for ivy worldwide. I like it's sense of motion. I'd really like my design to end with some sort of graphic moving upwards...just like the airplanes I fly and the results I hope to bring to my clients.
