Great design and innovative ideas. m@nRAY came up with ways to visually capture my brand that I hadn't even thought of — but that my audience has really responded to.
Very open to comments and suggestions, but also gave reasons why something should not be changed. Very quick response, despite the time difference. I think this designer has a great future. Easy to work with and very talented.

The design is for an app not a business.
The app is simple, it takes a photo and captures a short moment of sound to compliment the photo.

We have a good idea for this logo. The primary component of the logo is a gramophone, with a camera as the base of the gramophone and old school photo film floating out of the head of the gramophone. We are tossing around the idea of having the neck of the Gramophone as film instead. Keen to see a mixture of ideas.
An alternative to the gramophone neck being film, is to have film floating out of the 'mouth' of the gramophone.
We'd like the base of the gramophone kept reasonably plain so that vibrant pop art colouring can speak for itself. Obviously still need it to look like a camera though.
Something to consider is the design would need to look good as an app icon. Though this version of the logo would no doubt be a simplified version of the 'full' logo design.
When people think of Acoustie we want them to think fun, creative and colourful, so we're hoping for a logo that conveys that.
We've attached a very rough sketch of the idea :-)
