Who are you known as?
Burn Injury Model Systems (BMS)
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The Burn Injury Model Systems is a multi-center academic research study with sites across the U.S. We track health outcomes in adults and children with burn injury serious enough to require hospital stay. We collect information about the burn, return to work and school, mental, physical and emotional health, body image, and more. Researchers involved publish papers about recovery from burn injury and about long term health and function of burn survivors. The BMS also publishes fact sheets for newly burned survivors about what to expect in terms of wound care, returning to work or school, and reintegrating back into the community. We need a logo to use on the BMS website, as well as on the factsheets and other educational materials for burn survivors. We need both gray scale and color logo. Our sister project that follows people with brain injury uses a picture of the brain as their logo.

Stay away from flames, fire trucks, fire fighters. An abstract shape or something suggesting a high-tech treatment (artificial skin) may work.
