Food & Drink
Our GOAL is ultimately to create a venue that best showcases wine from the local regions, as well as international regions. Providing a comfortable space for our customers to enjoy and learn more about these wines. We are a wine bar, located in Bordeaux, France. We value wine and food producers that follow environmentally sustainable processes, organics and biodynamics. TARGET AUDIENCE We hope to encourage a customer base, both from the professional wine industry and the customer who simply enjoys a great glass of wine. Our inspiration for this business has developed from a multitude of shared experiences. From working in the hospitality industry as Sommeliers, to working as winemakers around the globe. What we want to create is a place for anyone to experience, and to learn what we love to do; sharing and enjoying Wine and Food.
I’m mostly interested in wordmark, abstract and combination logos, but I’m open to all ideas. The reason for the restaurant name ‘Yarra’ comes as an inspiration due to that both of our hometowns are cities split by rivers: Melbourne, the city is split by the river Yarra River, ; Bordeaux is split also by the River Garonne. We met, and lived in Melbourne near and around the Yarra River. So bringing a symbolism of our home cities together by the rivers. We also like that YARRA is almost symmetric, and that there are the two ‘A’ and our names start with A too. (important!) Visual inspiration: We think including the aerial view of the river flowing on the logo name, or underlining it could be interesting. We are NOT a restaurant, no food or cutlery on the logo. Focus on wine related elements. Circles are dated, let's consider a bit more geometric modern shapes. No sun please, we are dominantly a night time venue. Fonts need to be modern timeless. PLEASE No cursive fonts; or anything that resembles New Times Roman, Papyrus or Comic Sans Ms.
