To begin, Utech Consulting developed Illumyx, a culture analytics survey platform that both measures and quantifies an organizations culture across 8-dimensions, as well as correlates your organizations unique cultural drivers with an Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) so that companies know and understand which aspects of their culture impact their employee experience. We then create a custom, targeted action plan that companies use to address the actual areas that will positively impact their company culture.
Utech Consulting (the company that developed Illumyx) specifically is focused on the relational, people and cultural dynamics in business. We work with CEOs and executives to understand and formulate the values and culture of their organization, and our process starts with self-awareness and going deeper (hence the oak tree with the reflection, also signifying strong roots to promote growth and strength). It does start from the top, because no successful change happens without the support and backing of executive leadership. Our backgrounds are in marriage and family therapy, so our approach is to create strong leader-to-leader interactions, break down barriers between people and create alignment. In many ways, people would say it’s like organizational therapy – and the end result is that people become aligned, individual, team and business growth occurs, and lives are changed both inside and outside of work. We are Midwesterners with a strong work ethic, and our clients consistently give us the feedback on how their lives changed and how they feel that we genuinely care about them as people and are committed to their success. We love and understand people and are committed to making things work and transforming company cultures to be a place where people are excited to be.
Illumyx was developed by Utech Consulting (www.utechod.com)because so many of our clients want objective data about their employees and their culture, but culture has always been a touchy-feely, nebulous term. How can you quantify and measure it? We have spent the last 4 years developing this product and did find a way to measure culture when we defined it from a collection of beliefs and attitudes to ‘how people get work done’.
We also wanted to use data to help inform and drive culture change (versus us only providing the option of being onsite). So far, the results with our clients have proven that the survey results may even be able to replace our onsite interviews, plus provide even richer, more meaningful data on where there are pain points and opportunities deeper within the organization (which would be too costly for companies to arrive at if we did all that work in person).
One site that is slightly comparable is Culture Amp (http://www.cultureamp.com) or Culture IQ http://www.cultureiq.com
Here is more information about Illumyx:
Illumyx is a culture analysis survey that gives company leaders the capability to understand their culture using objective data. With this data, company leaders are able to make educated decisions to create impactful change in their organization.
Illumyx is also used in cultural due diligence work, which identifies the high-priority culture and leadership challenges you’ll encounter and need to address on day one of a merger or acquisition. Illumyx compares the cultures of two or more companies going through a merger or acquisition as a way to identify tension spots that can prevent a successful merger. This allows you to plan how to overcome and resolve the leadership issues that so commonly impede progress, so you can be proactive rather than reactive.
Illumyx uses a measure called eNPS (employee Net Promoter Score) that measures the loyalty and commitment of your employees, but how it’s unique is in our predictive analytics that correlates key cultural factors that are driving your eNPS score up or down so you have a specific roadmap with action steps on how to positively impact your employee experience and culture. We also map out your unique culture footprint across 8 different cultural dimensions that tells you the story of how aligned or misaligned your organization is. In the case of M&A, it pinpoints the tension points and areas of alignment to help create a cultural integration plan that is focused on company’s most important asset – its people.
• Comparing two or more cultures in M&A work as part of the Cultural Due Diligence process.
