Global Development Incubator

The Global Development Incubator, Inc. (GDI) supports innovative ideas and organizations that have the opportunity to achieve substantial impact in underserved global communities. GDI achieves development impact through two programs: Incubation Services and the Social Enterprise Accelerator. GDI provides Incubation Services that support the development, piloting and scaling-up of innovative international development initiatives. GDI also recently launched the Social Enterprise Accelerator which aims to double the scale, reach and impact of social enterprises through two years of support.

UPDATED: There are two options for presenting our name (both in sans serif font): 1) As "Global Development Incubator" on three lines, or 2) As "GDI" on one line, without our full name included. We want to see what both would look like.

We would like a clean, sleak modern logo conveying renewal and growth using blue and green. Our logo needs to look professional, not cheap. We want a "global institution" feel. 

Words that come to mind: launchpad, springboard, acceleration, innovation, growth, new, renew. Images that come to mind: a modern and well-built lab, spokes (representing our network), a boulder being pushed down a hill, etc…designers are encouraged to be creative within this general "feel."

Please see attached logos for inspiration. We like the Deloitte logo (but prefer it to be less cartoony) and we like the feel of the OECD Cleantech logo.
