MNT got their new logo design by running a design contest:

My partner and I are developing an online security company for families to better assist in virus protection and content filtering. We need a logo that reflects home protection but has a computer element to it. Hopefully I've made this easier for you with my sketch (see link below) and links to our websites. The colors and basic ideas are already laid out. We're not planning on staying small, so this will be a great portfolio addition in the not-so-distant future.
What's your vision?
we've been using the home/computer avatar under our profile as our current logo (we obviously want to change that!) it's of a computer that is made to look like a home. We'd like it in a 3/4 view and a crisp illustration (we're not digging the cartoon look). We'd like the keyboard element left there and possible a IM simple character behind the window. We'd also like to add a fence around the computer with two fists as the gates. As we mentioned before very crisp and illustrative-like. Here is a link to our little sketch http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/6219/chwhx2.jpg
- the colors are located on this website: http://cyberhoodwatch.ning.com/we want to stick with the natural colors seen on the top (the blues, yellows, greens, and browns). If you have any questions feel free to email us: email@example.com we'd like it in a vector format: photoshop/illustrator
- nothing cartoony.
