How NewBizCreate started their logo design journey
New company logo needed to launch a new creative outsourcing business.
11/26/08 Note: I will be extending this contest a few more days because it is the holidays over here in the States and I need to ask the finalists to work on their logos before I choose the winner.
Ceibo (also Ceibo Design)
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
I would like a clean simple design for my new business. The ceibo tree is the national tree of Argentina. The biz will be set there. If the tree is used in your design, I would only be interested in using the flowers not the tree trunk. To see the ceibo flower, see: http://tree-species.blogspot.com/20…rista.html
- For those of you who are serious about this contest, feel free to email me at email@example.com, and I can send you a few files of things I like. I like illustrator files with transparency overlays of color; I like silkscreen 2 and 3 tone effects and silhouettes. I am also interested in a type only logo with an accompanying ai image that can carry the the site and biz card graphically. The ceibo flower is bright red. Red burgundy would work also light lime or mint green and yellow/pale yellow ; light grey is good as well . I like sites that are minimalist so this logo should fit with that. I like this logo: http://www.mateconmenta.com.ar This is what I mean by transparency.... http://www.mateconmenta.com.ar Modern, clean, minimalist, even Japanese like is OK It can be literal or it can be figurative.
1) Please submit a reverse logo - meaning black ad white and greyscale. You can also choose one color to reverse to.
2) I am open to sseing more of the flowers with stem not just the flower.
- no photos of the ciebo, illustrations betterall submissions should include type only and then the icon plus type must be adaptable to a web home page and a business card I will have fortune 500 business clients so it must err on the side of not too funky or artsy I probably prefer a sans serif font but am open. Thanks
