Jon Topper got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design a logo for a brand new event!

We're an "unconference" bringing together experts in large-scale technical operations and software development, in order to stimulate discussion and to share ideas.
Logo types to explore
The name is a play on words: Scale: 1. the relative size or extent of something. 2. climb up or over (something high and steep). Summit: 1. the highest point of a hill or mountain. 2. a meeting between heads of government. Other similar events to ours: http://www.devopsdays.org/ http://www.webperfdays.org/ http://velocityconf.com/ The logo needs to be made up of solid colours (for printing), and should ideally work in both black-on-white and white-on-black Please avoid use of 'SS' as a design, as this has unwelcome connotations (read up on WWII history if you need to know why!)
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $399.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their logo design.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Jon Topper collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
