Hack In A Box is Inventium's program to bring Innovation skills to secondary school-aged children with the aim of educating Australia's next generation of entrepreneurs. We want to bring our science-based innovation tools - previously available only to large corporates - to students in an engaging and hands on way.
Hack in a Box is a six session program facilitated by the teacher with the aim of solving a real world problem. Last term the problem, sponsored by Virgin Australia, was "how to make flying fabulous fun for teenagers". Students aren't just coming up with ideas - they have to learn and follow the scientifically-backed process, whereby they ideate, test with potential customers, iterate, shortlist, refine, and then finally, prepare and deliver a pitch back to the corporate sponsor.
Students walk away with a scientifically proven innovation methodology that can be applied in any subject, in their personal life and beyond.
We aim to be in 300 schools by the end of 2018.
