How EGBOK Mission started their logo design journey
The EGBOK (Everything’s Gonna Be OK) Mission is dedicated to helping children and young adults receive the educational and vocational training needed to work within the hospitality industry (mainly hotels and restaurants). The EGBOK Mission is a philanthropic organization focused on providing support to a variety of projects related to the hospitality industry.
We work on various projects around the world that help children and young adults to work in the hospitality industry. Projects consist of an introduction to hospitality for students in a classroom environment and then we help them to either pursue university or vocational training in order to help them obtain jobs. We work with underprivileged children. Our current project works with orphan students in Cambodia. Our next project will be in Chicago, IL.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Donors, corporate partners (mainly hospitality companies), and people wanting to get involved with the cause.
We have attached our current logos.
What we like:
-The forks make up the "E" and the "M" of EGBOK Mission
-We like the black and white logo (but are open to other colors as well)
What we don't like:
-The fact that the font is copyrighted
-Sometimes people don't realize that the forks are also letters
What we want:
-a fun design
-an original or non copyrighted font (font must be changed)
-vector format design
-name more legible while still incorporating the use of the forks
-the ability to use the forks alone as a separate logo
-forks can be left alone if it blends better with new font or forks can be changed completely
We attahced one more design (Design Option) that we used as a t-shirt design in the past. We really like the custom font that was used, but it still does not blend well with the forks. This is an example of a font that we liked.
FYI: We are also wanting to design another logo for our tag line at a later time and stationary and print material
