Elegant logo & font for sailing catamaran

Art & Design
This logo is for a new 51’ sailboat (Outremer 51 if you want to look at it online). It will be on the hull of the boat approximately 3’ long and 1.5’ high (we see it as a horizontal logo) as well as on the front of tee shirts, so it should be scalable. The boat is sailed by a husband and wife team and will be sailing around the world in a rally to bring attention to ocean health. The name derives from two sources: first, it was a cozy cafe serving amazing croissants in NYC’s west village where we used to meet every morning while beginning our relationship- very romantic! Second, it is a French made boat and tartine is of course a very French delicacy- normally a delicious baguette with butter and jam. We are both architects and like very simple, clean and modern design but don’t want anything too hard edged, rather, we see it as gentle and perhaps a little playful. We have been thinking about something elliptical in form vaguely reminiscent of the shape of a baguette.
I’m interested in abstract logos. Typeface should be elegant, sans serif and probably all caps. (Samples of fonts we like attached.) The sailboat is all white with pale grey canvas sail bag and pale grey canvas cockpit enclosure. (Picture of a different boat with busy graphics attached)
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at $399.
