How David Grewal started their logo design journey
Our exciting company will begin marketing and supplying natural gas to commercial customers (restaurants, small hotels, apartment building owners, etc) similar to how your local utility supplies you with natural gas. We supply the natural gas for cheaper and provide our clients with more options than they currently are receiving through their utility. Our company has creative, customer focused individuals that are forward thinking and team oriented. We are looking for a stylish, clean, and professional look that gives the customer a sense of innovation and a new way of thinking when it comes to their natural gas needs. The logo should give the customer a sense that we provide a fresh, original, new yet secure, and creative way of thinking when compared to the old and established utilities.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The target audience is diverse and will include small hotels and hotel chains, restaurants, apartment owners, school districts, city officials, and other small commercial operations. It will target both the private sector and government clients so it will go to both a sophisticated audience and a less sophisticated (in terms of their knowledge about natural gas buying) customer.
We are looking for a logo that stands out from other utility logos. Most utilities are established, old, and archaic. Their logos haven't changed in decades and they represent an old way of thinking with little to no focus on the customer and ingenuity. We are the opposite and the logo should speak to that. Overall, we are interested in giving you as much latitude to work within. We don't want cartoon-like characitures. If you are looking for a play on the name, a stream of natural gas also burns blue like on a gas stove so it doesn't have to be limited to just a stream of water. But we are relying on you to provide your ideas and creativity.
