roughriderarms got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New Firearm MFG looking for iconic logo! GUARANTEED CONTEST!
Check out roughriderarms's Logo design contest…
We manufacture new and innovative firearms. Our target audience is adults from the United States that are interested in tactical weapons such as the AR-15.
*** NOTE: All entries should have a logo image that can stand alone without needing the "WRAITHWORKS" text *** Your logo entry does not need to have WRAITHWORKS text along with it, but it helps us get an idea of how the logo icon pairs with the company name as the logo icon + company name in logo text will be used frequently during the course of business. The logo can not be too detailed. It must look good in black & white or engraved on metal. A "Wraith" in our opinion is: a spooky ghost like a specter or apparition (so try to have the logo entries have that type of feel to them if possible). -Need something not too over the top or too intricate since the logo will be engraved or lasered onto firearm metal. -Maybe like a "W' where the outside arms are bat wings or some sort of stylized double "W". -Would like to see an entry of Wraithworks in unreadable death metal font (do not make all entries like this, just a few as I think it will be too detailed and break the first rule we stated which is needing to be simple and easy to engrave / see / understand when placed onto black metal). -A "Wraith" is a ghost or ghostlike image of someone, especially one seen shortly before or after their death. -The "works" part of our "Wraithworks" name is supposed to indicate manufacturing.

Incredible designer! Listened to my feedback perfectly during a logo design contest and the result was a winning entry that was far and away better than the next closest design. He even suggested an alternate logo tweak that I didn't even think of that really enhanced the end result. Great job!!!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
