FratArt.com
FratArt.com is a place where the funniest and most absurd pictures and videos will be compiled for the public's entertainment. We will be starting out as a blog in order to gauge interest. If we determine that it could be feasible, we will build a full working site where users can upload their own "frat art." Simply stated, FratArt.com will be THE place to go to find the most hilarious pictures of funny party moments or aftermath. It will be a great place to kill a few minutes and have a laugh.
I am open to any ideas, so feel free to break the rules in my "Requirements" section if you think you have a really good reason to do so. After all, I am not a great designer, that's why I am here.
The point of the site is simply to entertain viewers with crazy and hilarious media depicting people doing crazy and hilarious things that relate to partying and give those who have funny media a chance for it to be seen. Based on that, I would assume that our target audience is primarily American college students.
The logo should be simple (I considered fat block letters) and colorful. It should include the slogan "The Gallery of Bro." The entire logo and slogan should be constrained to a shape that makes it easy to fit into a site or blog as well as making it easy to brand through clothing, stickers, or other methods.
It should use "Fratty" colors. This basically means a lot of neon. Fratty styling does not follow traditional aesthetic design theory. Using too many neon colors that do not match is ok. I thought of maybe using a different color for the "Frat," "Art," ".com" and "The Gallery of Bro" sections. Maybe neon orange, neon green, neon pink, and neon blue respectively. A good example of the use of neon colors is the famous "Party with Pi Phi" shirts. I have attached an example of this shirt.
I am definitely open to the inclusion of graphics in the overall logo, however I would also like to see some logos that primarily focus on the text, "FratArt.com The Gallery of Bro." If a graphic is to be used, it should be something that communicates partying or general absurdity.
Another important note is that FratArt.com does not necessarily have anything to do with Fraternities or Greek life. So there shouldn't be anything in the logo that implies that our brand is tied to American college Greek organizations.
